Inspirational Kaiako: Te Kepa and Pani Stirling

I still believed I was half-cast until I was 14, my kaiako asked me, "Show me what part is Māori and what part is Pakeha?" I looked at myself and understood from that day. I am Māori.

MY INSPIRATIONS

I have raised 3 beautiful, strong, independent young adults who make me proud and inspire me every day.

I have been absolutely privileged to work and perform Kapa with inspiring people and friends throughout my career in Education and the Arts!

I am inspired by people who are themselves and don't apologise for it!

Connecting to music and taiao inspires me.

I'm inspired to rangahau and connect with my whānau history and whakapapa and whenua.
